The two beaches are lined with restaurants, tavernas, open-air cafès and bars whilst the main feature of the town is the small picturesque fishing harbour. At night Kos Town really comes to life with shining neon lights and a buzzing pub/club scene. An excellent way of exploring the many archaeological sights on the outskirts of the town is by bicycle, one of the main modes of transport on the island.
